The University of the West of England (UWE) is a modern, vocational university based in the city of Bristol. It has a number of campuses both within the centre of the city and the outskirts. It gained university status in 1992 and offers a range of applied and professional subjects across creative arts, education, business and law, technology, health and applied science.
It has strong links with industry and hosts the UK’s largest robotics laboratory.
UWE delivers a number of degree apprenticeships including:
Degree Apprenticeships sponsored by Airbus. Apprentices will study towards for either a BEng Honours Degree in Aerospace Engineering (Commercial Aircraft) or BSc Honours Degree in Digital and Technical Solutions. Apprenticeship students will undertake the work experience aspect of the degree at Airbus in nearby Filton.
Degree Apprenticeships sponsored by Rolls Royce Apprentices focus on areas around Civil Aerospace, Defence or Power Systems and graduate with a BSc Honours in Manufacturing Engineering.
UWE also has strong links with Hartpury College in Gloucester which focuses on agriculture, and veterinary nursing.
