The University of Swansea is set across two campuses on the seafront of Swansea bay in South Wales. The Original campus is set in Singleton Bay and the newer nearby Bay Campus (for Science and Engineering subjects).

The University is research-intensive and is particularly strong in Law, Life Sciences, Medicine and Engineering (notably materials, computational, systems and process engineering). It has its own long-established medical school which ranks as one of the top in the UK.

Its Law School was renamed the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law following the awarding of an honorary doctorate to Hillary Clinton in 2017 and is particularly well regarded in the field of Criminology.

Swansea University delivers Degree Apprenticeships sponsored by Airbus. Engineering apprentices can graduate with a BEng Honours Degree in Aerospace Engineering (Commercial Aircraft) and undertake the work experience aspect of the degree at Airbus in Broughton, North Wales.

Business apprentices work towards a BSc Applied Business Management (Commercial Aircraft) and also undertake the “on the job” aspects at Airbus in Broughton.
