The University of Sheffield is a traditional, research-intensive university in the city of Sheffield, in North East England. It is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of research intensive universities and has generated no fewer than eight Nobel Prize winners!
It offers the full breadth of academic curriculum from Medicine and Dentistry, STEM subjects (including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering), Arts, Humanities, Languages, and Architecture.
It has its own long-standing medical school and its business school is one of the select group of triple accredited schools.
The University has a strong reputation in Manufacturing and Engineering and hosts the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) which also provides training including the degree apprenticeship sponsored by Rolls Royce. The apprentices focus on areas around Civil Aerospace, Defence or Power Systems and graduate with a BSc Honours in Manufacturing Engineering.
