    The University of Manchester is the UK’s largest single university and is situated in the centre of Manchester. It began life in the late 1800s and has built a strong reputation as a highly research-intensive institution. It is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of research intensive universities.

    The University offers more subjects than any other UK university has a particular strength in the sciences. It has been home to some of the world’s greatest scientific minds in the areas of theoretical physics, astrophysics, mathematics and computing. In fact, the University can boast over 25 Nobel Prize winners!

    The University’s Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics (which includes Jodrell Bank Observatory) is one of the largest astrophysics groups in the UK.

    Its curriculum covers the full academic spectrum including, humanities social science, medicine, arts and languages. It also has a particular strength in the field of architecture. It has is own medical school and its business school is also highly regarded and has triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.
