The University of Cumbria is spread across a number of campuses in the beautiful Lake District and beyond. It is the only university in the UK to be based in a national park and world hertiage site!
Its main campus in Lancaster offers a range of courses teaching, health, humanities, art and sport.
The city of Carlisle (just south of the Scottish border) hosts two campuses. One campus is focused on the Arts and the other is focused on Health, Education, Law and Social Science.
A campus in the town of Ambleside (near Lake Windermere) offers courses in forestry, conservation, leadership, sustainability and applied science.
The small town of Workington has a campus which focuses on energy and the nuclear industry.
The industrial town of Barrow-in-Furness has a vocational degrees including nursing, health and beauty, catering and social work.
Despite the University’s rural northern roots it also has a campus in London which offers teacher training, professional policing qualifications and advanced clinical practice courses.
