Goldsmiths is perfect if you are a mature yet creative-type who wants to study in a renowned London institution. Goldsmiths is a college of the University of London based in New Cross, South East London (not far from Greenwich).

It is a specialist institution focusing on the arts, design, humanities, and social sciences. Its curriculum is broader than that of many ‘specialist institutions’ and, whilst it offers a wide range of undergraduate courses it has a strong focus on postgraduate study. And, whilst it takes students of all ages, over half the students at Goldsmiths are mature students.

It has a number of famous alumni including artist Damien Hirst and fashion designer Mary Quant. It is also where the brit pop band Blur first teamed up as band members Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon were students at Goldsmiths.
