Buckinghamshire New University (or Bucks New Uni for short) is perfect if you’re looking to get into a specific career or profession and would like to study in a university that is close to London but not right in the centre of the capital.
It has campuses in the town of High Wycombe (Buckinghamshire) and Uxbridge (West London). It has origins in the 1890s but officially became a university in 2007.
Most of the university’s activity is based on its High Wycombe campus, with its West London (Uxbridge) campus focusing on Nursing and Applied Health Care.
It has a strong focus on professional training in areas such as policing, nursing, teaching and social work.
The university offers many unique courses including commercial pilot training – allowing future pilots the chance to combine their pilot’s license with subjects around air transport, safety and security.
